Has the recent events got you thinking it is time to make some changes. How exciting! How exhilarating! How frightening! I often find clients come to me with mixed emotions. They want to find out who they are at their core level and at the same time are fearful of what might be discovered. I always reassure them they are pure light! We are conditioned to think we are broken, imperfect and need to become more than we already are. The truth of the matter is we are perfect, whole and purely divine. It just so happens we are all in the current state of reawakening to that fact. And we awaken in our own way and time. What happens when we are feeling off, tired and not motivated? How can we figure out why that may be happening? A check in to our energy systems is a priority. Our energy systems can be like a thief, stealing energy from one system to feed another. We have a wonderful network of pathways which allow chi or our life force energy to travel to all our organs, body systems and work as needed. These pathways are contained in our aura, chakras, and meridians. One of the meridians that can be affected is the Triple Warmer (TW) meridian. It is often related to fight or flight. It is in charge of the 3 heats of the body - heat of metabolism, body heat and the heat of fight or flight or our life passion. The TW meridian is associated with our adrenal glands. They produce the hormones that allow us the fight or flight response during a crisis. It also produces hormones to help during the recovery of illness and injury or stress. We have 4 muscles also related to this meridian. These muscles are involved with actions such as running, pushing off, rising on your toes. All things related to fight or flight! In Chinese Medicine, the TW meridian represents the Fire Element. It represents life's heat and passion and with it our warm feelings. It can also burn so hot and bright you begin to feel drained and lose passion. When you are feeling "burned out”, it may be time to do a little investigation. QUESTIONS TO ASK:
The answers to these questions may give you some insight as to where you are spending your energy. Another way to check is to do use the Life Balance Self- Assessment. The results of the quiz along with the accompanying reflections journal can help to highlight:
Balancing our energy systems is necessary to help our body systems come into what is known as homeostasis. Homeostasis is the ability to maintain internal stability to compensate for environmental changes. TIPS TO HELP: There are areas on the body which can easily help regulate the functions of the Triple Warmer Meridian. It is like a reset button to help regulate our inner fires and get us moving again. Tip 1: Take 3 fingers in a triangle (thumb, first and second fingers) of one hand and lightly hold in the depression above the collarbone (the base of the Adam's apple), and with 3 fingers of the other hand place it on the temple at the hairline slightly above and to the front of the ear. Hold this point for about 60 seconds breathing deeply. You may feel a pulse or you may even yawn or take a deep breath. Repeat on the other side. Tip2: Rest face in hands for 2 breaths. Inhale and bring fingers up to the temple area. Exhale while smoothing fingers up around ears and down to neck. Dig fingers into shoulders and hang for 2 breaths. Drag fingers over shoulders and release Now your fire energy has been reset! I am happy to help you! I offer services in addressing the emotions brought through this time of uncertainty.
