I get asked all the time, why do you do what you do?
“It’s like you’ve all got straws stuck in my soul and you’re sipping me dry!”
Unsurprisingly, my family looked at me like an alien had just taken me over.
It felt like that from where I was sitting, too. I was a wife. A mom. A caregiver. I distributed hugs, home-cooked food, advice, and a sense of home. I didn’t pause in the middle of dinner and tell my family they were sticking straws in my soul.
I mean, who does that?
Answer: Someone who’s spent so much of her life giving to her loved ones, that she completely forgot to give to herself and now she’s at breaking point.
I knew something had to change.
“I know how it feels to be stuck in a life transition, not sure where to go forward, but determined not to go back.”
We all have a story! And here is mine . . .
It’s exhausting taking care of everyone else and not stopping to put a little fizz in your own glass (if this sounds like you, give me a “yes!!! I get it!”)
“I just need a break!” I muttered to the universe as I got up to clear the plates.
Turns out the universe takes things very literally.
Two days before Christmas, the family piled into the car to attend my husband’s company party. I was the last to get out, because I was busy making sure everyone had grabbed their belongings.
I didn’t notice the tiny patch of ice, no bigger than my hand. But it noticed me, and next thing I knew, snap! I was on the cold hard winter ground, and my leg was broken in two places.
Suddenly I was the one that needed to ask for help, and it wasn’t easy.
I’d always been there to help others and now I couldn’t do the simplest of tasks without their assistance.
It gave me plenty of time to think about what I really wanted – a life where I felt as loved and understood as I’d always endeavoured to make everyone else feel.
When I was gifted a Soul Genesis™️ session, it was like someone handed me a roadmap to myself. Finally I understood my deeper tendencies, strengths, scars, and gifts. I could tease apart the threads of the long-held patterns that had led me here.
I found I had a knack for helping others know and understand their soul’s blueprint.
I realized there were other people out there like me.
Women in their 40s and beyond desperately seeking to understand themselves and figure out how to ask for their needs and have faith that what they needed would come.
These women had lived. They’d loved and cared for and cried with their loved ones. They’d balanced work and home while still trying to squeeze in ten minutes here and there to learn about the things that made them curious - energy, manifestation, the universe. They were ready for a change, but they didn’t want some hooty flooty fluff about living their best life.
They wanted real, practical, information.
They liked their metaphysics with a side of “and here’s how to apply this to your life.”
I knew I could give that to them. I’ve been through the maze of life and come out to this point wearing a t shirt that says “been there, done that, and still smiling.”
Knowing exactly who I am and what I’m here to express has made navigating life more joyful and given me the kind of confidence that would have seemed like a dream just a few years ago.
We’re not here to suffer. We’re here to shine.
